#Limes immunity #lookfquirky

Well, do you ever get confused between lemon and lime? These two kinds of fruits are genetically different and closely related. They have a lot in common in terms of nutritional values; they are rich in vitamin C, potassium, and B6 vitamin. However, they are distinct in appearance and taste. Lemons are bright yellow and limes are bright green. Limes are of a smaller size and round in shape. There is also a bit of distinction in the flavor of these two even though they both are tart. Lemons are sweet but limes are more of a bitter taste. Limes are judged to be sourer lemon but actually it is the bitterness.

Having discussed the nutritional values of lime lets come to an interesting recipe of the same.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

We will need 5- 6 fresh limes, 1 large cup of water, 2 large cups of sugar.

Process:

The process is very easy. First, we need to split the limes into two halves. Squeeze out the juice in a bowl. Keep the lime zest for later use. Then we boil one cup of water and then add sugar to it and let it dissolve completely. Thereafter, we have to add the lime zest and the lime juice to the sugar syrup and bring it to a rolling boil, stir it for 6 to 8 minutes. It will form a froth on top of the syrup. Take it off the flame and store it in a glass jar for 8 hours. Do not refrigerate it. The shelf life of this jam is 10 to 11 months. This jam can be used with bread or chappati. It tastes amazing and especially with the aroma and flavor of lime touching the taste buds.
